Lawyer graduated from the Externado de Colombia University, with specializations in Intellectual Property, Copyright and New Technologies from the same institution, and Commercial Law from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana. Additionally, he holds a master's degree in Business Legal Advice from the Madrid Business Institute and a master's degree in Competition Law - Queen Mary School of the University of London, from which he graduated with merits.

 

He has extensive experience in the public sector, where he has served as Superintendent of Industry and Commerce (E), Delegate for Jurisdictional Affairs of the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce, Director of the National Directorate of Copyright, advisor in the Ministry of Justice and of Law and lawyer of the Delegation for the Protection of Competition of the Superintendency of Industry and Commerce. In the private sector, he led the competition and consumer law area of the firm PHILIPPI PRIETO CARRIZOSA FERRERO DU & URÍA and worked as a lawyer for the firm ROJAS, PÉREZ Y ROBLEDO ABOGADOS.

 

At the international level, he worked in the Conflict Resolution Department of the English firm CHARLES RUSSELL SPEECHLYS and collaborated as Assistant Editor in the digital publication specialized in competition law "Global Antitrust Review" of the Interdisciplinary Center of Competition Law and Policy -ICC -) from Queen Mary University Of London.

 

He has also been a professor at the Universidad Externado de Colombia, Pontificia Universidad Javeriana and the Universidad de Los Andes in business law and competition law and is a regular lecturer on consumer protection, intellectual property and competition law issues.
